Identifying things that can ripe us of joy and happiness because of our condition Mentally or disability

Situation

  • Being obsessed with the pursuit of joy and happiness yet it remains elusive

  • Overwhelmed by feelings of emptiness, sadness and depression people are not immune to these feelings.

  • Encounter situations and face emotions that are “hard to deal with.”

THE SOURCE OF HAPPINESS AND JOY

Creation

  • Beautiful Planet.

  • Endless variety of colors.

  • Playful antics of animals.

  • Abundance of delicious food.

We feel an occasional or even a persistent lack of joy.

  • We are imperfect and at times suffer from pain, sadness, and depression.

Pray for Jehovah’s holy spirit.

DO NOT ALLOW ANYTHING TO STEAL YOUR JOY

Thief No. 1:

Life’s problems.

Experiencing the effects of persecution:

  • Natural disaster,

  • Poverty

  • Sickness

  • Old age

  • Mental health

  • and Disability

Can easily be robbed of our joy when facing such problems, especially when we have little or no control over a situation.

Help to recover our joy

  • Maintaining a realistic perspective and demonstrating gratitude, one can achieve genuine satisfaction.

The prevailing notion that happiness requires a flawless life is a misconception.

  • Try to accept your circumstances, and be grateful for the good things in your life.

Be joyful when we face problems

When our life is far from ideal or when terrible things happen to us or to

our family, still be joyful.

  • Joy does not depend on our circumstances.

  • Jehovah God is there to help us

  • Almighty God is not the cause of problem Satan is

Thief No. 2:

Unfulfilled expectations.

If we set goals that aren't realistic given our circumstances, we may start to feel discouraged.

If our circumstances limit what we can do:

  • be modest and faithful

  • Care more about who we are on the inside than about what we do

Thief No. 3:

Self-indulgence

Some use social media to suggest that happiness comes from self-gratification, encouraging people to focus mainly on hobbies, shopping, and travel.

Enjoying these activities is not wrong.

  • Self-indulgence can leave us feeling deflated and empty.

Society's ideas of true happiness are deceptive; they seem worthwhile

How can giving to others help us recover our joy?

  • Jesus taught us that “there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.”

  • The more my attention shifts away from me, and I am joyful.”

What can you do for others?

You may not be able to solve his problems:

  • You can comfort by listening with empathy

  • being compassionate,

  • and reminding him to throw his burden on Jehovah through prayer

  • help him to appreciate that Jehovah has not abandoned him.

You might even offer to do something practical

  • Prepare a meal or

  • just go for a walk together, which will lift his spirits.

Focusing on others rather than on ourselves will give us genuine joy!—

  • Instead of focusing on your wants, focus on the needs of others

No matter what we are experiencing in life, we can feel secure. Lets focus on

Jehovah, the unfailing Source of joy!—
